What is the difference between end-grain and edge-grain?
End-grain boards show the cross-section of the wood (checkerboard pattern) and are the most knife-friendly — the blade slides between wood fibers rather than cutting across them. Edge-grain boards show the long grain face and are slightly more affordable while still being very durable.
Are the boards food safe?
Yes. All boards are finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax. You should re-oil your board every few months with mineral oil to keep it conditioned.
Can I get a board with a juice groove?
Yes — a routed juice groove around the perimeter is a popular add-on for carving boards. Mention it in your quote request.
Can I put a custom image or map on a cutting board?

How do I care for my board?
Hand wash only — never put it in the dishwasher. Dry immediately after washing and re-oil every 1–3 months with food-grade mineral oil.
